The ceramist Axel Brüel worked for many years as a permanent artistic advisor at the Danish Porcelain Manufactory – Lyngby Porcelain. His clear, pure style had a major impact on the functionalist design style applied by Lyngby Porcelain in the 1950s and 1960s.
In addition to acting as an adviser at the factory, Axel Brüel designed in his own name too. One of his works was the slender, multi-functional Carafe. In 2015 his daughter Charlotte Brüel designed a very special glass called Tumbler that matches her father’s jug perfectly.
