The world’s first thermos porcelain dinnerware was produced back in 1957. Lyngby Porcelain created this innovative product. The unique aspect of these products is that they have double walls, like a Thermos flask. With this innovation, the porcelain products could now keep coffee hot for longer, and prevent people from burning their fingers on the porcelain. In 1960, the design won particular recognition, and was exhibited at The Louvre, Paris, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, where you can still today see the collection.
