One of Danish architect Arne Vodder's favourite pieces of furniture was the AV Egoist chaise longue he designed in the early 1950s, only a few of which were made. A rarity, timeless and unique, the AV Egoist chaise longue was a personal favourite of Danish architect and designer Arne Vodder (1926-2009). 

Even so, only a few were manufactured after it was designed in the early 1950s. This is now being made up for. Danish manufacturer Sibast Furniture has delved into the archives - together with Michael Vodder, son of Arne Vodder - and, with the help of some old drawings, measurements and a few photos, their joint efforts have succeeded in recreating the chaise longue, which Michael Vodder doesn't hesitate to call his father's signature piece of furniture.

Icelandic sheepskins are beautiful and unique. Evolving over time to the exposure of the cold Icelandic climate, it consists of two types of fibres; the inner fibres that are fine, soft and highly insulating while the outer fibres are long and water-repellent.

Care
Sheepskins are naturally dirt repellent, anti-bacterial, resilient, hypoallergenic and resistant to water, flame and static electricity due to the natural lanolin oil/fat the skin contains. Therefore we recommend that you frequently shake and air your sheepskin and brush it with a soft brush from time to time to restore its full and fluffy appearance and lustre. You can vacuum very gently by low volume if more thoroughly cleaning is needed. Avoid using water or detergents on your skin, as the natural lanolin fat/oil in the skin is damaged and the skin will retract in shape. 

Please note that as this is a natural product, some discoloration can occur if left in direct sunlight or close to a radiator or heater for prolonged periods of time.

The Magnolia vase has equal measures of utmost simplicity and evident complexity, exactly like the upward reaching flower of the magnolia tree, Naja Utzon Popov’s source of inspiration. The ceramic vase is oval in shape, opening up with a slanted, frazzled edge to create an illusion of continued growth. According to Naja Utzon Popov, the slanted edge means that flowers naturally move towards an ideal space for blossoming.

The exclusive and elegant side table was designed by Helge Sibast in the late 1950s. He made it as a gift for his wife, and for many years only three bespoke pieces existed, handed down as precious gifts within the family until they found their present home with Anna and Ditlev Sibast. 

The side table has been put into production by the current owners of the family company with the purpose of sharing this warm gift and beautiful design.

Originally, the side table was made with a black glass plate in the centre of the table top, emphasising the minimalist design. Today, the tabletop is also available in white marble and soap finish that complement the wooden structure.

More than sixty years later, Arne Vodder’s family has been looking in the archives, together with Sibast Furniture, resulting in the reintroduction of the Arne Vodder Sideboard Sibast No 11 by the same original manufacturer.

The Sibast No 11 sideboard is made of solid wood with oak and walnut veneer. It has reversible doors with colored surfaces on one side and wood on the other. Available in yellow, white, blue and black. Wood and steel legs.

The Sibast No 2 dining table is a refined design that combines function and aesthetics from a new perspective. It was designed by Anna and Ditlev Sibast assisted by the insight and expertise of Bodil Sibast, who followed in the footsteps of her father, Helge Sibast, as a furniture designer and cabinetmaker. 

Extensions for Sibast No 2 Dining table. 

By adding the extension plates to the table an increased flexibility is obtained. Easily mounted for increased length to the table and also removed again, with no visible trace the design of the extensions are seamlessly integrated with the design of the Sibast No 2 dining table.

The Sibast No 2.1 dining table has an elegant minimalistic design that takes inspiration from the design philosophy of Helge Sibast. Sibast No 2.1 adds incorporated extensions giving the possibility to store the extension leaves inside the table when not in use. The Sibast No 2.1 Table has three different extension setups of 2, 2.5, and 3 meters that are implanted into the table itself in this new version of Sibast No 2.

The table is an interpretation of this timeless design from the late 1950s and respects Helge Sibast’s design philosophy that a chair should never be hidden under a table, but placed beside it. It was designed by Anna and Ditlev Sibast.

The Sibast No 2.1 extension leaves are a refined design that combines function and aesthetics from a new perspective. Sibast No 2.1 is a creation that adds embedded extensions designed by Anna and Ditlev Sibast.

All details have a purpose from the curve of the table top to the positioning of the legs giving room for the surrounding chairs ensuring the complete and comfortable dining experience.

Enjoy added flexibility with the Sibast No 3 dining table by easily mounting up to two extension panels per table. The extension panels are easily placed in the middle of the Sibast No 3 table adding an extra 50 cm/19.6 inches per
panel to the length of the table.

The panels are designed with similar details as the table allowing a smooth and seamless appearance when applied. This gives the possibility to use the panels as a permanent and beautiful solution to add additional length to the table as
well as only using the panels occasionally when extra space is
needed.

The extension panels are available in solid oak or black lacquered MDF.
