Description Kay Bojesen's dinner knife is the only one different from the silver cutlery. All silver knives are two-piece, as a blade in silver would be too soft, therefore steel knives are made into one. Kay Bojesen's idea with the steel dinner knife was that it should not be bigger than it could fit into any palm - big or small. The knife may feel shorter than other dinner knives, and with full overlay, the knife just rests inside the palm. In this way, the hand is in control of the knife and not the other way around. A knife must have weight without feeling heavy. The fingers should rest on the shaft and not rotate in the hand. The blade arches so it cuts with the entire blade and the small knob helps the index finger to steer. The dinner knife is not a steak knife, but its grill cut makes it easy to work through any piece of meat.
