The Soga vase emerged from a series of material experiments in which a soft volume was shaped using a cord, gently creating tensions and indentations on the surface. The soft curves and plump forms arose spontaneously through the interplay of control and chance. The vase is made in ceramic, which highlights the softness and organic expression of the form. “Soga” means rope in Spanish – a direct reference to the process that shaped the character of the vase.

The Soga Vase series is designed in collaboration with the Spanish designer Omayra Maymó. The Soga Vase is made in Portugal by skilled potters passionate about their craft.
