In 1948, furniture designer Jørgen Aakjær Jørgensen established Møbelintarsia. Today, his granddaughter Nanna Aakjær has re-launched the company, aiming to continue the legacy of the Danish golden age of furniture.
Instead of focusing on quick trends, Intarsia Furniture takes a holistic approach to interior design, creating high-quality furniture ranges that are part of a larger whole and last for generations.
Jørgen Aakjær’s work extends well beyond the current collection. Intarsia continues to explore his designs, and plan to relaunch several of them soon.
